Easter and End of the War Parade

Easter is a really big deal here. It's like Christmas in the States. Instead of calling it "Spring Cleaning," they call it Easter cleaning. Honestly, I don't really know that much about "Spring Cleaning," since our family didn't really do that sort of thing. :) Anyway, here are some pictures from that wonderful day.

This is our happy family on Easter!!! If I remember right,
Noah started cutting some teeth that day. Can you tell?

The end of WWII is a really big deal for many here in Ukraine. Ukraine lost the most number of people in the war. Valya, Andre's grandma, was right outside of St. Petersburg when the Nazis came, and she has lots of interesting stories. Each year to commemorate the end of the war, there is a parade. This has become a tradition for our family to go to Valya's and watch the parade. However, before the parade, Valya wanted to take some pictures, so here's the photo shoot.

Noah is very interesting in something over there.

The whole group, and again Noah is distracted. Shocking really.

Here's a good one with the boys and Valya.

The fam. Noah is making a weird face.

I love these guys!!!

Cheese!

Hilarious!

So sweet!

And one of the parade.

Valya's Birthday

Valya, Andre's grandma, turned 80 years old on February 7th! Here are some pics of the time we got to share with her on that day!!!

She really is a tiny little woman. :)

Great-grandma with her boys.

Some of the awesome food that she made!!
My stomach always feels good and full when I leave her house.

I'm guarding the chocolates.

Looking good for 80!

Here's the fam. I'm not sure what Noah is doing, but that's not the first time I've said that. :)
